  • Elderbridge additional interest

Hi all, I am very new to this but I am after some advice please. Myself and my husband at the time had a secured loan with Barclays but unfortunately after my ex absconding after an affair resulting in the house being repossessed and the loan being handed over to elderbridge. After a long period myself and my ex husband decided that he would make an agreement with them to pay ten pounds a month towards the loan and I would pay ten pounds a month towards a joint overdraft debt. This continued for a long period of time. The balance on the loan that was stated was 13k. I have now found out that my ex husband has now taken out an IVA (without me knowing) and that ultimately when the Iva term ends I will be liable for all of the debt. When I visited my credit score only I was horrified to see that the loan outstanding balance now stood at 22k. When I have called them they have said it is interest from the original loan agreement, however on any correspondence received prior stated the outstanding balance as 13k!!! has anyone else experienced anything similar? thanks x
