  • Professional Negligence

A very summarised version of my story.
I'd like to sue a solicitors for professional negligence, I'm looking for any recommendations.

My case after a near fatal car crash (major heart surgery and years of complications) should have been a forgone conclusion with regards to no win no fee, but due to poor advice and below par solicitors I had to endure 8 years of litigation and the threat of prison for contempt of court.
I ended up spending 2 years in and out of the High Courts of Justice to prove my initial solicitors incompetence.
I am out of pocket over £100,000 (re-mortgage) and my later solicitor that challenged the contempt hearing on my behalf took me for a ride over costs and not honouring to take on a professional negligence claim against the original solicitors that they were initially hired for.
The later solicitors have gained around £375,000 in fees...!
This put my family under tremendous stress, I was at the time almost losing my home, my job and struggled for years with my health.

I should also point out that I was coerced into the no win no fee situation after simply hiring a lawyer to deal with correspondence whilst recovering after my surgery.
The injuries were 16 years ago and the last hearing was 8 years ago. But now after rebuilding my life, I have now realised that an injustice must be righted.
