Hi I went shopping and starting to walk out of the door.. Security guard stopped me and asked for a receipt..i reliased I did not pay, been distracted and went back too the till I thought I went through.. Under a bit of stress and anxiety at the moment.. They checked the camera and could not see me go through.. I then paid for my shopping, heading back out they took my receipt and told me I was banned for trying to walk out without paying.. No details taken, no police, just said I was banned and needed the receipt for incident reporting..*
Will anything happen or do I just move on and forget about it.*

Nothing will happen, although if they have your name & address you may be sent demands for money from a civil recovery firm k/a DWF for some imagined costs
DWF cannot take any action except write threatening letters, dressed up in legalese in an effort to intimidate, so just ignore them.

Regarding the ban, whilst that is their right it is quite difficult to enforce.
If you return to their store and are noticed all they can do (as long as you are not committing a crime) is ask you to leave. If you refuse they can use appropriate force to remove you.
