  • Who is liable to pay me

Hi, I am self employed entertainer and have been doing work for a major company for many years. I am paid through an agent. I have not been paid by this agent and they have said that they cant pay at the moment as they are having financial problems due to the corona virus outbreak and don't know when they can pay. Can I go to the company I am doing the work for to ask for payment payment or does it have to be through the agent. I am almost sure that the company has already paid the agent for the work. any advice would be great.
    Thanks

Your contract is with the agency so basically no, but a call to the Company that you work at may elicit the fact that the agency has been paid.

Has a close read of your contract with the agency on the payment terms.

Do you invoice the agency with payment terms?
