Parking charge

I have received a parking charge fee from parking eye now fir £170 from debt collectors now as I lost the decision in Popla , I waited fir the letter from them and I received it 36 days after the decision , which I will fight as my hospital appointment overrun and being 81 years old I could not make it back to the car in time ,I was 20 mins over the time , please can someone help me in this matter as no one , not even theNHS wants to help me thank you*
