  • Hello! Identity theft - goods from 'STUDIO' purchased in my name

    Hi everyone,

I'm new here, so I understand I may have just posted in the wrong place on the forums.

In a nutshell, I have received a parcel from 'studio', inside it was a tshirt and an invoice for an order worth £16.99.

A credit account has been set up in my name and the tshirt purchased via credit.

Today I received a welcome pack from Studio for my personal credit account. Inside it has a credit agreement contract and a direct debit form to fill in.

I have never heard of this company before, I have not set up an account with them, and I have not made this purchase.

I contacted the company via email, facebook and phone (which are closed due to covid-19), no response.

I have reported it to action fraud and got a crime number.

    Please help, I'm so worried.

    Thank you, WorriedMuch.

    Don't worry about it.
Write (get free certificate of posting from PO) telling Studio that you have not requested a credit account and do not require their unsolicited goods.
Tell them that if they want them back they should arrange collection by DD.MM.YY
If they fail you will dispose of the goods
(You are under no obligation to return them even if they send prepaid envelope).

Tell them also to remove your details from their database
