In 2016, in response to a Special Offer from a Gloworm, I requested a visit from them to quote for a replacement boiler. My existing boiler worked very well alongside my solar hot water system & my a Solar Serviceman had advised me that, should I replace my boiler, I should install a System Boiler. I mentioned this to the Gloworm Installer at the time of quotation and he replied the the new Combi ‘ Would be fine’. After countless visits & emails, I am told by them that the new Combi will not work in conjunction with my solar system which I have to disconnect. It appears that the old Combi boiler accepted pre- heated water whereas the new Combi is a cold water feed. Gloworm say that they cannot help me any further.
