  • MCOL - How Long?

Hi all! Thank you for your help in advance.
I was issued a claim via MCOL on the 24/01/2020 by a company that claims that I owe them money.
I responded on the 27/01/2020 (The day the paperwork arrived) with my defence and the site states my defence was received the same day.
I have not had any correspondence since and the claim is still sitting on MCOL with the last action being my defence
Its been 2 months and I totally understand with the current climate life is not "normal" but just wondering if it is usual for cases not to hve any action for this period of time?
    Thanks.

Have you picked up the phone to find out what's going on?*
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

Thank you. Yes I have tried to get through daily and have also sent emails with no reply so far. I just wondered if anybody with experience knew if this is normal.

As it’s two months since you filed your Defence, the claimant has not responded to that and so the court will likely have ‘stayed’ the case. It will sit like that until the claimant applies to lift it or you apply to strike out the claim. The court is just acting automatically.

Contacting MCOL was like this BEFORE Corona virus so getting through now will be a Herculean task.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

How would I go about striking out the claim? Please?

Thank you - would I need to wait 6 months or so?

What type of debt is it? Have you requested all the relevant documents? I'd advise getting ducks in a row and engage in some written communication with opponent to demonstrate attempts to resolve the matter. That will make a future application to strike far stronger.
