  • National Parking Enforcement

Just received a PCN from the above complete with photographic evidence for parking for a whole 2 minutes and 16 seconds in a prohibited space. The catch is they didn’t bother to check their evidence which showed a completely different make and model of car with a slightly different registration - they hadn’t checked it and got a character wrong. Submitted my appeal and have advised them I intend to charge them £100 (reduced to £60) if they pay within 14 days for my time and inconvenience (which given the circumstances and times I will donate to some worthwhile NHS / coronavirus related charity) Also told them I will pursue it through the small claims court. Don’t know if it will get anywhere but satisfying to throw it back at them

No you point out to them that the transgressed GDPR for accessing your personal data at the DVLA without good cause.* It has caused you* great deal of stress and harassment.* Case law suggests that a sum of £600 would be suitable compensation
