I have hired a camper van for Easter week and called today (21 Mar) to cancel it due to the government asking people not to make any unnecessary travel due to the corona virus. The company refused to refund our money saying that their business was open as usual and all campsites were open and that exercise in open spaces was being encouraged, what that has to do with anything I do not know. We were staying in the uk and were yet to take out travel insurance just the necessary vehicle collision insurance so cannot claim on travel insurance as the hire company suggested. *Where do we stand in getting our money back for something we cannot use?
