  • Parking ticket - is it valid?

Hi all, I am hoping that someone may be able to provide some advice on a parking ticket that I got recently. I wonder if i was really wrong parking there or have good ground to appeal. I parked on a single yellow in a controlled zone, restriction 1-2pm. I left the car at 2pm sharp and got a ticket at 4pm. I wonder if the sign is valid for the entire street (side of the street) or only from the position of the sign onwards.*

Assuming that's your car in the pic, you are not in the CPZ, which starts beyond the sign (like speed limit signs)

    GSV is from 2018:

and at that time the SYL is 8.30am-6.30pm

Thank you for the response. This clears it. I had the sneaking suspicion that I have done something stupid! So, gotta park AFTER the sign next time then? They've introduced new restrictions (after the google maps shot was made). One side is 1-2pm, the other is 8:30am - 6:30pm (small yellow sign). How confusing!
