  • MET Parking appeal rejected - please help

Hi, I'm new here but just wondering if anyone might be able to help me with my specific issue with a private parking charge I've received from MET Parking Services Ltd.I received the attached parking charge notice due to parking in a disabled bay at McDonald’s Heathrow, London UB3 5AR at 02:40 on the 30th January 2020. I pulled up to the drive thru but found that the restaurant was closed for maintenance. I then parked into a bay without checking the signs for 10 minutes just to check which other restaurant branch close by was still open and made my way out of the car park. The restaurant was closed and no one required the car park so I feel this charge to be very unjust. I stated this and the fact that the ticket was issued more than 14 days after the contravention which means its non compliant with POFA 2012 but they've rejected the appeal. Please would you be able to advise me on how to proceed with this?

    Thanks in advance!

Edit so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred, use "the driver......." etc.

So has the driver been identified, yes or no?

So did you infer the identity of the driver in your appeal?

So you appeal to POPLA and include all of the many POFA fails in that NTK (there are many) and the unclear signage and their right to operate

Hi Ostell, thank you for replying. I pretty much wrote what I've written in my post in the appeal so I identified as a driver and said that I was just pulled into a bay for 10 minutes to try and find another branch that was still open.
I'm really sorry, I don't know what to write in the POPLA appeal. Would you be able to help me please? or do you suggest it best if I just pay for the ticket since the price will go up to £100 soon.
