  • Parking ticket and CCJ sent to an old address

    Hi Guys,

I have the following situation. In 2017 i have moved to a new place and changed my address at DVLA only on the driving license. The car was still registered at the old address as I truly wasn't aware that I had to do that. I was thought that if I change my driving license the job is done. I am living in the UK only for 5 years so these things are a bit new to me

Anyway, in October 2018 I got a two parking ticket from the same company and both have been sent to the old address where the car was registered. As a result of that, I got a CCJ for almost 300£. I have spotted that only a few days ago doing a credit check.

I have of course paid immediately the 300£ to the creditor, however, because I've missed a chance to sort this within 28 days after CCJ date this will stay in my records for 6 years.

Considering the fact that i wasn't aware of any parking tickets as it was sent to the old address including a letter from the CC, so i had no possibility to defend myself or act quickly to prevent CCJ. Do you think this is enough to have this CCJ set aside?*

    rgds,

I think having paid then that will reduce your chance of a set aside, but others will know better.
