  • Asda Ban

So, today I was banned from Asda for 6 months. My little boy was screaming soni grabbed him a packet of crisps, opened them and gave them to him. I then went to the till and paid over £50 for my items. I innocently forgot about the packet of crisps and was stopped by security. I was marched to the till where I paid 60p for the crisps. I was then given a 6 month ban. I did not sign anything, I wasnt asked my name or address but I am banned from all asda stores? Has anyone else experienced this and have any advice? Thanks.

What a good way to keep customers in a difficult market .... humiliate them for a simple mistake

My advice would be to avoid that particular store for the time being.
If you do go back to Asda, and some gorilla spots you all they can do is ask you to leave, and if you refuse they can use sufficient force to remove you from their store as you are trespassing.
Nothing else (unless you've been naughty!)

Alternatively you could complain to both the store manager and copy in the CEO (roger.burnley@asda.co.uk) complaining of your treatment over the forgetting about a 60p bag of crisps when spending in excess of £50. You never know, they might give you some money off coupons!

Hello, thank you for you reply and not judging me! It was a totally innocent mistake and I am mortified! I rang the store and spoke to the manager to apologise, he understood but wouldnt lift the ban. Luckily I dont shop there often, just needed to grab some school uniform! I wont let it get to me, it was just an embarrassment and didnt like the fact that the security lady turned on her camera and recorded me!*
