  • Primark shoplifting

Hi. I know its not something nice! But to be honest it was a first and last time! I have learnt my lesson! I was caught shoplifting my security, they took me to a room, took my driving licence copy, and address. And scared me alot. The security guy was very rough when talking to me, and treated me worst than an animal. They didnt tell me any value of the goods, they just wrote on a paper. They didnt call the police,* threatend me that il get a letter by post, and if i ignore it, il have a problem.. iv been really stressed, whats gona happen? Please some advice.. thanks.*

So you ignore that letter you get in the post demanding money, the first of several that will eventually stop. Search for other RLP threads in the forum

Oh dear, RLP going to send more letters in the hope another victim will pay their ridiculous demands.
That is all that will happen... a firm called Retail Loss Protection will send you a letter asking for lots of money and threatening all sorts if you don't pay up.
And it will sound awfully legal.

What you need to do is file it and then ignore as it has no power at all.
They will then send another, which you ignore, then another and another.
Eventually they realise you are not paying, so give up and pass on to their next victim

The security goon was trying to scare you.
There will be no fines, only a demand for money which you can ignore without worry (despite the threats they will make!)

                      Yes, just ignore.
                      Eventually they will give up.
The only documents not to ignore are court papers, and they haven't issued any of those for many years after losing a case.

So effectively in order to actually get my money they would have to go to court in the first place so it doesn't make a difference.

THey not only have to initiate court proceedings, they then have to win!
Besides which the cost of taking you to court is more than they can recover, especially as they haven't got any basis for a claim that would stand up in court!
So just ignore them and get on with life
