I have a semi detached house with the neighbouring property joined at the rear of my house in a T shape. The neighbour is planning of putting a new roof over the existing roof (listed building) due to the existing roof no longer being strong enough to support itself. This would obviously raise there roof and subsequently put additional load onto my roof. Is this work covered by the party wall act? It's all very civil and I fully support what they are doing but I want to cover myself aswell!

Neighbors, right? I was lucky enough to have decent people that live close to me and when I did the roof on my house the neighbor even offered me his help. The best help was finding me the company that did the roof. It turned out that he worked for the company before and he was vouching for them. I needed that because I had no idea where to find people who can do this or what roof should be done. I was scared that my neighbors would not be happy with construction workers. It is terrible when you have to deal with all that...
