a car hit me from behind, driver admitted hitting me but said there was no damage done now going to court, total amount for damage and hire car was £1100 but court case in burnley and me and my wife have to go on a 4 hr journey to get there 2 hrs in court then 4 hr journey home, the accident happened in a petrol garage i can see from my house in south east london se 12 and the defendant only lives approx 2 miles from me, would it be possible for me to have the case heard nearer as it seems it would be beneficial to all involved

Sounds like the location was chosen to purposely put you off the claim. Write to the court and ask why it is there rather than a location mutually close to both of you.
