Estranged Children on Will

My uncle recently passed away and left his house equally to his sister ( my mother ) and his two estranged children who he has had no contact with for the past 40 years. We have a solicitor currently trying to find his children, however what happens if they cannot be located ?

Options:
-Keep a reserve fund equal to the amount the missing beneficiary is due to receive.
-Distribute the funds to the known beneficiaries, and obtain indemnities from each of them confirming that should the missing beneficiary ever come forward the executor will (in theory) be able to recoup the money from them.
-Distribute the Estate and take out an insurance policy, which will pay out if the missing beneficiary is traced.
-Apply to the Court for a Benjamin Order to allow distribution of the Estate .
