Hi newbie after mortgage shortfall advice

Hi I’ve recently joint and after some advice please
Hi I lost my home in 2009 the mortgage was Ł131000, and it was sold for Ł13600. They added on Ł36000 in charges ie missed payments, redemption fees , interest etc. What I wanted to know is are theses charges under the 12 or 6 year limitations.?
any help would be amazing thank you
