I have received a claim form for a Barclaycard credit card naming Asset Link Capital as the claimant. The particulars of the claim states that the account was opened in 2004 and signed by the defendant. It goes on to say the the account was defaulted 20/10/2016. and state the amount due as at Feb 2015 to Barclaycard. 'by an agreement in writing the benefit of the debt has been legally assigned to the claimant effective Feb 2015. no recollection of this debt neither is there anything showing to this effect on my credit record. I entered into a DMP in 2007 for all my debts at the time until around 2015, when I cancelled the DMP and was making a token payment of £1 each to all my debtors, I can't say for sure if this debt was included because quite a few of my debts were sold multiple times. I will be grateful for any advice you can render to me. Thanking you in advance.
