  • VT excess mileage

In December 2019 I VT my Renault Clio and was sent a bill for excess mileage. I used your proforma letter and heard nothing until today when I receive an email from Renault saying they were entitled to the excess mileage charge stating CCA 1974 sect 99(2) states termination of an agreement ....does not affect any liability under the agreement which has accrued before the termination. They state that this supports that the charges are fair as they are included in the terms and conditions prior to the termination. They state I am within my legal rights to seek legal advice. Where *do I stand and what should be my response to them. Regards sahb76*

You either pay up or you dont. If you used the template letter then you must have read the guidance and so you should already know your options.*
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

RCI are now threatening me with a debt collection agency if I do not pay within 14 days. Will they do this or is it an empty threat?
