  • Pub watch ban

I am a female 38 years old with 2 sons. *I was recently out on my works night out with my boss and work colleagues. *We arrived and got our first drink, then a *female bouncer whom I recognised to be my ex mans cousin approached me and said my ex’s name is in here so any hassle and you are F***** out. *I explained I was on my works night out and would never cause hassle with my ex man or when I’m out. Within less that 5minutes my ex was over with his friends shouting and causing hassle, he then tried to get past me to the man standing next to me so I put my hands up and said no, trying to *prevent something from happening, the next minute his cousin bouncer had me by the arm and he was shouting she attacked me. *My boss and work colleagues witnessed everything n know I hadn’t even moved from my table and done no wrong. *They have now put me on pub watch so I cannot enter any pub in my home town. *It’s so unfair when I’ve done nothing wrong. I’ve still not received a letter to say I’m on pub watch but this is what I’m told when I try to enter any pub. *I need help how I can appeal this as I feel I’m being victimised. *Can anybody help

As the licencees can refuse admission to anyone without giving any reason, there is no legal recourse against such a ban.

IMO your best course of action is to write to the schemes organiser giving your side of the incident, and include supporting letters from your boss and colleagues, and request a review of the decision to ban you.
    Good luck
