Bailiffs attending old address

I received a phone call today from my ex partner stating that a court bailiff has visited the house looking for me ( I moved out April 2018) he gave the papers to her even though she told him I know longer live there, the 2 letter giving are one for some money owed to cabolt financial supposedly and another with his details which also states that if the person named on the letter isn’t at that address to inform him which she did face to face, also the letter from court regarding Cabolt is dated December 2019, what ground do they have to do this and what can I do about it if anything? As far as I’m aware it’s upto them to find my new address not attend old ones giving out of date letters? Any help appreciated

She should have refused them. There is also no compunction for her to reveal your new address. If they do not know where you are then there is not much they can do, but they may be able to track you down through other means - electoral roll, credit files etc etc. I suppose fortunately this will have been the County Court Bailiff looking for you & don't forget you probably have a CCJ against you.
