  • Broken IVA

Hi, my ex husband and I took out a joint IVA back in March 2011. We separated in August that same year. We agreed he would pay it instead of him giving me child maintenance. November 2019 I got a debt letter at my new address saying I owed over £7000. I dismissed it as a scam as I’d just got a mortgage a few months earlier. I had no idea at that time that my husband never finished paying off the IVA. I then received a letter from the county court. I defended this and have since received more letters from The debt company. Now they are wanting me to do something called a Tomlin order. Can you help me. I’ve no idea what to do. I have no savings, was debt free as far as I knew.*
