  • notice of enforcement

Received one of these last week for a CCJ in 2016, non criminal. I have no house, car or other possessions.
I won't open the door, perhaps not even answer it. Not bothered if they keep ringing the bell.*
I'm not concerned about getting any credit either and the CCJ can stay there for what its worth
But Is there anything*they can do on their side to break the impasse or should I continue ignoring them ?

In that case you will find it has been transferred up to the High Court and a Writ obtained. Providing the debt is for a residential debt then there is no automatic right of entry when they call - different if for a business. They will perhaps call 3 or 4 times before returning the Writ to the utility company who in turn could ask another HigH Court Enforcement Officer to attend - the Writ has a life of 12 months but can be renewed on request.

            One other question Ploddertom.
This debt has gone through so many agents I've lost count. Is this a debt that has been sold on do you think and continues to be passed on
to anybody who thinks they might have a chance ? What is the process ? Will it go on forever like this ? There's a good chance that I'll be long gone
before any of this is ever brought to a conclusion, methinks.

A CCJ will fall off your Dredit File after 6 years. Unfortunately it will never become Statute Barred but if they have not sought enforcement in that 6 years they would need to go back to Court to ask permission to do so - very rarely granted. There are a handful of case where this has happened but more to do with those returning after several years abroad. Yes they may still pass it around but again should go back to Court to change "ownership". One thing a lot of Claimants forget is that obtaining a CCJ against someone is no guarantee they will ever get paid.

Thanks for taking the time to reply ploddertom
Various companies over the years have tried to enforce the debt but then they give up
and some other company pops up and takes over. A never ending cycle*
                .
                Various* * Various companies*
