  • Nissan & RCI REJECTION

Long story short, purchased a brand new 2019 Nissan, within days faults occurring, some sorted through warranty, some still exist but because dealership say nothing *to *be found - they say no fault to fix. 33 days in garage because of last fault / I requested rejection or replacement if they couldn't repair. Nissan accept rejection, they'd take car to resell and I'd walk away owing them £371 because of negativity equity. I refused. RCI came back, agreed with Nissan's figures but that they'd cover the £371, I could hand four months old vehicle over and *walk away with £0. I wrote to tell RCI that I accepted rejection of the vehicle but not their terms, that I was taking it to the financial ombudsman. I told them the vehicle would no longer be used by me, gave them the mileage as it stood, could they arrange collection and end the agreement. RCI have refused unless rejection on their terms only, no negotiation to be had, they wont be arranging collection and I have to continue with the monthly payment / keep car insured. Have you come across similar to be able to offer thoughts on this please ? *
