  • Advice on defending a CCJ for Drydens Limited/ Erudio student loans

Hi I have received a claim form for money owed from a student loan.* I have been paying Erudio Student Loan Company a set amount each money by standing order although now Drydens are stating that I should have been paying them.* On the form the Claimant is Erudio but the correspondence address is Drydens.
Admitedly I am slack with paper work as I am busy with caring for a sick child and a elderly parent as well as working full time.* I was deferring for many years as I was earning under the threshold.* The loan is from 1996. I now earn enough to pay but can only afford £50 per month. I received a letter last month and called Erudio back and left a request for a call back as their waits are in excess of 60 minutes.* I never received a call back.* I received a letter this week informing me of the CCJ and I rang again and requested a call back.* When they returned the call I explained that I am off with stress due to looking after a sick child, they said they couldnt halt the CCJ.* They said if i was able to pay in full i would be ok and if not this will go on my record for 6 years.* I am unable to pay in full hence why I can only afford £50 each month.* Can anyone advice me as I have to repond to this claim form? Thanks* **
