    Met special constable political discrimination?

    Went on the met police's website to look at the requirements to become a special constable (part time officer), and they explicitly say BNP and ex-BNP members are banned from applying, and the same for 'similar organisations'. It looks to me like political discrimination, which I would assume to not be allowed. Does anyone know whether this is legal?
