  • DCB - Letter of Claim

I have had an ongoing dispute with a contractor. Long story short they have approached DCB who sent a dew letters, we responded denying that any debt was owed. They then sent a copy of an invoice and considered that as proof of debt. We advised that we had a signed contract (by contractor and us) for a different figure and that was paid in full by bank transfer. Few months have gone by and now we have received a letter of claim. Here is my query, they suggest in the letter that we need to write to them to request a reply form, should a reply form not have been provided with the letter of claim?

The reply form is part of the Preaction protocol for debt claims.
The whole protocol (including the reply form) can be found here*https://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/pr...s/debt-pap.pdf

You can reply in letter form if you wish
