Hi ,*
Just thought id share my experience with Barclays Partner Finance .
I sent a letter 21st December 2019 (used the template from here). Recorded delivery , 2 weeks later i heard nothing* (i was over Christmas to be fair) .Rang them up 3rd January and they confirmed they had it , i explained that my half way point would of been 15th Jan and at that point i will be dropping off my car at manhyme auctions in Leeds on the 16th Jan .
I cleaned it washed it hovered it , made sure it looked nice , dropped it off (make sure you take your V5) , Both keys , handbook . The guy there was very helpful .
Take photos (id do it after you wash it at home) , date stamp the photos.
its now 10th of Feb and i have an email from my credit score company and its been sold and cleared. So 8 weeks from sending a letter .
Ive found it to be a very very easy process , if im honest i was worrying myself abit with reading all the threads with the bad experiences people have had with them .
As long as your cars in good condition , youve got to the half way point , you have NOTHING to worry about .
I was about 20,000 over my milage and i was so sure they would of stung me for abill for it !!!*
They cant , trust me .
If you can only pay your 50% if you pay anything over you cant claim it back , my direct debit was due out £442.40 this would of taken me over by £90.80 , so i rang up and payed with a debit card (they dont take credit cards) . . . saved £90 quid .
So yeah all in all pretty easy process , feel releved its all done and £20k has been lifted off my back.
If anybody has any concerns i assure you dont worry , as long as you have met the cafeterias and your half way its all good.
Thank you for the before threads for all your help
