  • Hi newbie seeking advice on taking car dealer to court

Hi I would be grateful for some advice. I bought a VW polo for £1050, paid by card transfer. The car did not come with a warranty. This was on 15th August 2019. Following purchase in fact the same day I emailed the dealer with query about central locking and then later about the cd. No reply ever came.* I drove the car but within days the car's EML came on. I took it to nearest garage to repair.* This lead to diagnostic test and then a change of lamda sensor. I did not return to the dealer because he had not responded to my earlier emails and I just wanted the car repaired. Later the parking brake light came on and again I returned the car to the garage to repair.* This time they said the car was leaking parking brake fluid and needed immediate repairs. These were carried out. In total I spent over £800 in repairs. On 12th September I wrote to the car dealer seeking to reject the car under CRA 2015. No response forthcoming despite another letter and telephone calls.* I then issued a claim form.* I'm concerned that as I did not return or contact the dealer with the car issues will this weaken my case. This has been nothing short of a nightmare. Please advise.* Many thanks*

You have already initiated court claim.
How far down the process have you gone?
