  • Is their claim legitimate

I have received a fine notice from premier stating I didn’t pay for a recent visit to a car park in Barnsley town centre I always use. Luckily I have the ticket, however, upon inspection I have realised some of my registration is missing (first 2 letters and 1 number) . I have been told this is a scam and was featured on tv? What is the best course of action?*

It's not a scam, could end up in court. It's not a fine it's an invoice

Edit so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred.

Post up a redacted copy of the notice but leave dates.* Signs might help
So their machine failed to recognise the keys
