  • Sight of accounts after probate

Hi all, My family member died and left everything to none family members. We had requested sight of the will to the executor before probate, but even after probate we have not had sight of the will. I ended up doing an advanced search and paying a fee for a copy of it. Up until the death of said member everything was left to family. We were told by the executor that we were left 1k each, only 2-3 weeks after death, looking at the will there were no amounts given to the beneficiaries, so how could the executor make a statement like this when no accounts had even been as far as we know started. The will itself had been changed because the now executor had a problem that would as far as we would bite the executor on the bum, the executor was not trustworthy in childhood, who was light fingered. So with this in mind is there a template letter to request sight and/or copies of the accounts. Thankyou in advance for any help that would very much appreciated.

    Hi
When you say "the will has been changed" do you mean the testator issued a codicil to the will prior to his/her passing?

Can you post up the exact wording of the legacies, as it appears in the will?

    Have the beneficiaries been paid?

If the estate has not yet been settled, the accounts may not yet have been prepared.
