A friend has recently successfully been offered a job.* Now 2 weeks later he has been told the offer has been withdrawn because of his references, however, he has seen both references sent and there is nothing wrong with them.* Does he have the right to request to see the references the company have received to see the evidence they are basing their decision on?* One further piece of evidence that leads me to believe there is something wrong here is he had to pay £65 for a CRB check up front which they are going to refund.* Clearly if the reference decision was justified they would be within their rights to refuse the refund.

If CRB check sounds like banking or security job legally employers cannot give a Direct bad reference a lot of companies will give a yes employed as job title from to generic to avoid any issues as a non personal reference.. but if for CRB or background checks if dates as times of employment do not match it is a no* also credit scoring depending on job may have been taken into account .. and the result depends on company for passing sorry but your friend will only know the t and c* a lot of agencies will disgustingly expect you to pay upfront fees for checks even equipment the law can be an a** but if any mistakes on info CRB or credit s
they can decline. If agency they can release you if less than 3 moths no real reason other than business needs horrid but true keep him up x Your friend needs to push as why exactly declined let go...
