  • Parking ticket but i had paid

I regularly park at Redbridge Station an NCP Car Park and in July I parked as usual and paid via the machine on my debit card. Some time later i receive for non payment with a picture of my car entering the car park and the time. I contacted them to explain I had paid and i could prove it with a copy of my bank statement showing the payment, the date and the time but I have no idea why their machine did not link it to my car - i would not have paid this money into the machine unless i was parking !* * * They rejected my claim because i could not prove it was my car i was paying for - what???* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I then submitted to Popla who once again rejected for the same reason and yet i had paid.* * * * * *I am now receiving threatening Solicitors letters where they are suggesting this could result in a CCJ.* * * * * * * * I phoned them and explained the situation but it fell on deaf ears. If they do proceed with a CCJ can i appear to defend myself or does it happen behind closed doors and then i have to appeal after judgement? Any help would be appreciated as the £50 fine is now £182. - Peter
