  • PCP Voluntary Termination

Hi - I sent a VT request on the 14th Jan. BCA are coming to inspect the car, does anyone know how long it then generally takes for them to then take the car. I’ve read lots on their and on VW finances websites but can’t find any useful answers. Also, I’ve just read Rob’s great document and am now concerned that I shouldn’t be driving the car - is that right? Thank you*

Most lenders tend to use BCA or Manheim as they are the biggest auction operators but finding a date for inspection depends on how busy they are. You can contact the lender and ask them if there is a date booked or can you have a number and reference to call them directly to book one.

14 days is a reasonable amount of time to wait and in some cases slightly longer accounting for busy periods. However, I would say as a general rule something like 6-8 weeks is not likely to be reasonable especially when you are required to take reasonable care whilst it remains in your possession.

Driving the car is entirely up to you and you must accept the risk if something goes wrong with it.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

Check the small print. Mannheim wanted to collect my car at a cost of £70. Most places are nearby so to take your car to them is free if you want to save the cash of course!
