im under the domestic abuse team...husbands a functioning alcoholic. he wants me to go to mediation, the splitz team have suggested i dont.* how do things get resolved then as we cant afford solicitors.

If you are a victim of domestic abuse you have every chance of receiving legal aid.* Contact local solicitors and ask them if they do family law, explain your situation and ask if they will take your case.* I think the team advising you are correct, you could put yourself in danger if you agree to mediation. It may be a good idea to visit your local Citizens Advice who may have solicitor contacts who will assist you.
