I think this is in response to this the question on this thread:https://legalbeagles.info/forums/for...orum/1507084-d

To start with you will get a letter from a firm called RLP.
It will sound horribly legal and demand about £150 for losses supposedly caused to Primark by your actions.
There is no legal basis for this demand and that letter, and others they will send you, should be ignored.
    Eventually they will stop writing.

However as you are only 14, they may write to your mother.
They should not do so, but they will pretend they are concerned for your welfare.
In fact they will be trying to get your mother to pay.

I would suggest you fess up to your mum now.
It will be less of a shock to hear about it from you , than from some firm trying to extort money from her.
Yep, she will yell a bit, and be disappointed, but hopefully she will support you as well.
Telling her will also relieve you of the stress of trying to keep it secret.
Do you have anyone else you could confide in, to let your mother know gently eg an aunt or elder sister?
Altho' we don't approve of shop lifting, this was not the crime of the century, and it will blow over.

    Good luck
