I recently did a VT with Toyota.
I have cancelled the payment.
They sent me an email saying that the car had no damage and all the finance was settled. I asked them to send me formal notification in writing.
They said I had to wait until the had been sold before they would do that. Is this correct.

They don't get their money until the car is sold so they don't consider the contract to be terminated until then. It's normal, don't worry, they are just book keeping.
