I am being made redundant and am querying whether you think I have 8 years or 9 years full service? I feel cheated by the fact that my final day falls on February 29th. I began my contract on 1st March 2011. So my employer is only paying me on 8 years service, saying that I fall 1 day short of my work anniversary.1 day!!!However, February 29th is an extra day this year because of the leap year, so I have in fact completed 8 years + 365 days!! I can find nothing that defines a full work year for the purpose of calculations and no precedence set. Please help asap as I need to sign the letter which says I accept the terms.
