The Law Commission is a statutory body set up under the Law Commissions Act 1965 to review the law and make recommendations for change where it is necessary.
Programmes of law reform are essentially a selection of areas of law that the Commission focuses on as to whether changes in the law are necessary. The Law Commission will then make recommendations (if any) as to law reform of those areas of law. The Commission has recently published their programme for the 13th programme in 2017 so the 12th programme is the second latest.
