  • Twelfth Programme of Law Reform

    Can someone briefly explain to me what the*Twelfth Programme of Law Reform is. I have an assignment due on it and I can't seem to summarise what its about. Many Thanks, Leyla

    The Law Commission is a statutory body set up under the Law Commissions Act 1965 to review the law and make recommendations for change where it is necessary.

    Programmes of law reform are essentially a selection of areas of law that the Commission focuses on as to whether changes in the law are necessary. The Law Commission will then make recommendations (if any) as to law reform of those areas of law. The Commission has recently published their programme for the 13th programme in 2017 so the 12th programme is the second latest.
