  • HIGHVIEW PARKING PCN only has 6 digits .Do i contact them to ask but then surely ..

    Hi Guys,
Forum newbie here , hope not offending anyone by opening a thread that has probably been answered a million times before.I appeal most of my (lets me say 'my wifes's' pcns) and have enjoyed a good win rate based just on common sense. I (my wife again) have just received a PCN from HighView Parking for parking in an electric Bay in Epping Forest Retail Park (free parking for up to 3 hrs) but when i try and locate / start to appeal the pcn my PCN notice is 1 digit short - 6not 7 as required.
How should I proceed? I know i need to acknowledge and lodge an appeal as first step rather than ignore but i dont want to call up and then they magically make it appear on their systems. Any advice muc appreciated

You only need the 7 digit number to pay it online not appeal it. The appeal procedure is by email so just use the 6 digit one they sent you. It's only an email so can't be rejected.
It's only 13 digit charges you can appeal online.

If you don't appeal they will proceed to recovery. If you then say you didn't have the correct code they will give you one and rewind the claim back to step one. Or even say, tough, you should have contacted us if you had a problem.
You could ignore it completely and hope they have made an error and can't find your file !!! Up to you.
In fact I always ignore these charges anyway, it's a numbers game, they can't take everyone to court. I've been lucky so far.
