  • Party wall and scaffold

We have a shop/flat property with a rear access as you enter the narrow pathway into a 3ft wide by 30 ft long path after 10 ft on your right you have a fire exit door from our shop then at the end of the path you have the rear entrance to the first floor flat.On the left side we have the 30ft*party wall of next doors rear storage .they have now received planning permission for construction of 5 apartments on their side and wish to erect scaffolding in our pathway . i have objected as the party wall act does allow scaffolding to support maintenance and repair s but this is anew build . so they employed independent party wall surveyors who have approved the erection of scaffolding on my pathway .. can this be allowed.?HELP these guys are very wealthy developers and i fear my hands tied.
