  • Scaffolding

Hi all first post.......ive had roofing work done around my house, the roofing contrator hired a scaffolding firm sub contractor, so mak8ng the roofer the main contactor. The roofing wirk is now complete......But after a week the scaffolding firm have nit removed their scaffold. Ive called the main contactor and ges saying hes having trouble with who he subcontracted to. Ive rang the scaffolding firm every day sinc the original removal date given by the main contractor without any joy. Ive a feeling the scaffolding firm are just using my private land as their stowage dump. This scaffold has been up now for over a month, their are no scaff tags and no one has inspected this scaffold to make sure its safe.....hse rules state scaffolding must be inspected on original errection then once every seven days.....due to the severe weather ive now found that one of the main stays stopping the scaffold from collapsing is on a wooden base to stop the pole sinking into the soil has started to slip and the pole is not secure ...so much so ive informed HSE and iam awaiting their reply......what can i do legally to get this scaffold taken down.

Possibly write to them an tell them that you will be charging them £100 per day for storage if the scaffolding is not removed within 3 days
