I am being pursued by ccl debt collection agency.Their client insists I didnt pay him for work he did.It was a cash payment, with witnesses, but no receipt given. He is adamant he does not accept cash payments and that he was not paid.Ccl have tried to contact me via phone, not left any message as to who they are, when I tried to call them it just cut off.I filled in an online contact form for them to say it was a disputed debt.I feel their client is taking advantage as I'm of a certain age, nice house, cash payment,no receipt.I will not be intimidated by him or ccl..but what if anything do I do now?

They are only a debt collection agency.
There is no debt
There is a disputed claim
They should cease collection activity and you should tell them that.
Also add that you do not wish to receive further communications, and will not enter into correspondence with them
At least that is what I do in those situations
