Speeding fine from the Netherlands

Received a letter after our return home - today 31st October- but bizarrely the letter is dated 1st November- tomorrow? Also our postcode on the letter is not entirely correct. I’ve requested photographic evidence. Can’t send or get any email response - has to be written - therefore taking added time. We drive to Europe every year and are very conscious of speed limits. Netherlands especially is not noted for speed limit signs showing on non motorways - and speed restrictions do vary from road to road. Also we do not travel Mainly on motorways- a bit peeved of course at this scenario- especially as we were allegedly only doing 3 kilometres over the speed limit. Anyone else had a similar experience?

A quick look round the net and I learn the Dutch don't provide pretty pictures of your vehicle, but the speeding ticket will automatically show a speed 3Kph below what you were travelling at anyway.
Don't appear to chase it in the UK, but if you ever return to the Netherlands the penalty will be somewhat increased when they pick you up at border control!
