Voluntry surrender of car

Any info would be greatful, I have a used car 2016 plate,, would like to give it back , 4500 miles when I had it 24.01.17 . 10,000 per yr only, now 32,2 on the clock have been quoted £3, + in April to hand back, 6 months later it will drop to £1,6 and odds. Do I singn the paperwork they gave me ? Is it better to return to the place I got it from? Very unsure what to do to keep any penalty to the very bare minimum or nothing. Can anyone help please.
