I had a first plus loan and spent of 3 yrs debating the amount of interest which had been added on since Elderbridge had taken over. I had completed the loan according to a court order yet Elderbridge continued to menace me. My fight with the court order being completed and getting them to explain where the extra fees came from, £10,000 and rising, held me in a stale mate, they seen it that the court order did not say they could not do it, the Finance ombudsman said while it looks like they can't add the interest it would be up to the courts to decide. After 3 years I eventually was in the process of taking them to court when I recieved a letter saying that the amount I owed would be reduced to 0 if I signed to not take them to court, which I did hooray. Although I had tried solicitors, citizens advice and He finance ombudsman, no one was able to help. After using the freedom of information act and getting all the information they had on me, I was able to identify irregularities in their paperwork and the total lack of clarity and transpancies in how they work, it was this I feel led to my good result. It's worth a try. They have not been transparent, clear or consistent in any records and when you get your info you will be shocked. Good luck
