Gladstone’s solicitors PCN

I have received a PCN letter from Gladstone’s solicitors, stating that they have been instructed to commence legal action as I didn’t pay my parking charge notice for a private car park. This was my college car park last year and there was no free spaces at the time. My friend parked next to me as he could not find a space either and he did not get a ticket when we both arrived and left the car park at the same time. Any advice please? It says I have to pay within 30 days
