    have been asking the executor to my father in laws will, for a copy of the will and accounts, 5 months on not received them, and my husband as not received is third share in what is a very small straight forward estate, so feel i need to now put my request in writing, but worded in way that the executor will take us seriously. so is there a template i could download to use please

    Your husband can request a copy of the will and estate accounts , but it depends on his status whether or not the Personal Representative has to give them.

    The only people entitled to receive a copy of the Estate Accounts are the Residuary Beneficiaries of the Estate. A Residuary Beneficiary is someone who is entitled to a share of what's left in the Estate once all the funeral expenses*, debts, taxes and other gifts have been settled. The accounts should contain a summary of the main points of the will.

    If a Grant of Probate was not required, the Will remains private and the Executor can choose whether or not to share the Will with the Beneficiaries named in the Will,

    Don't know of any templates..... just have to write nicely!
